Scotch® High Temperature Fine Line Tape 4735 is a highly conformable tape used to achieve sharp contrast and color separation while painting on highly contoured, curved and shaped surfaces. It has proven successful in high-temperature painting applications requiring a highly conformable tape.
Our Scotch® High Temperature Fine Line Masking Tape 4735 has a backing that is drapable and stretches uniformly to help create sharp, precise paint lines. The adhesive and backing work together to keep paint seepage to a minimum while providing smooth trimmed edges for a continuous straight paint line.

Notably, Scotch® High Temperature Fine Line Masking Tape 4735 can be used successfully with most solvent or water-based paint systems and will provide outstanding color separation due to its thinness (typical thickness of 5.3 mils). Application is easy; the easy tear, pressure sensitive tape has a natural rubber adhesive for good instant adhesion. The smooth trimmed edges create a continuous straight paint line. 4735 can also be used in curved, or more difficult to reach places. This masking tape is conformable to allow for ease of application in areas with tight radii and depressions, helping to increase operating productivity.
Additionally, the vinyl backing is heat resistant for one piece removal. It functions with modern, high temperature bake cycles to hold under heat strain yet removes cleanly and the translucent backing also allows visual confirmation of adhesive wet out on substrate. Importantly, our Scotch® High Temperature Fine Line Masking Tape 4735 has a minimal neck down when stretched for accurate paint lines to help save rework time. The rubber adhesive is paint/solvent resistant to help minimize clean-up of adhesive residue and rejects due to paint undercutting.
