3M™ Round, Shielded/Jacketed, Flat Cable, 3659 Series is a 28 AWG stranded wire cable on a .050” pitch, for use in a wide range of applications. It features shielded wires configured into a flat cable for easy termination, then twisted into a round PVC cable for easy routing and cable management. It also helps protect wires from the elements, making it excellent for box-to-box applications.

It features a twisted flat ribbon wire configuration, making for easy termination to a broad line of IDC connectors. Its round construction maximizes multi-directional flexibility for easy routing and efficient cable management in areas with limited cross-sectional space. Durable PVC jacketing helps protect copper conductor wires from the elements.

The dual PVC/PVC shielding and jacketing of 3M™ Round, Shielded/Jacketed, Flat Cable, 3659 Series includes aluminum/polyester film foil and tinned copper braid, providing 35 dB average shielding effectiveness, limiting cross talk and other EMI.

Insulation Displacement Termination

3M cable 3659 series is available with a continuous repeating split/bond construction that allows for mass termination on approximate 2.4” centers, helping to save time and increase flexibility. A simple crimp makes stable, reliable metal-to-metal contact at each center point without the need to strip and crimp each of the connectors. The primary cable is zippable for branching or discrete terminations.
