3M™ DMD180 Flexible Laminates are 3-ply composites of PET fiber mat coated with a resin system, bonded to both sides of polyester film for use in high-temperature electrical insulation applications up to Class 180(H).

3M™ DMD180 Flexible Laminates are three-ply composites of non-woven polyester fiber mat coated with a high-performance inorganic-filled resin system bonded to both sides of polyester )PET) film for use in high-temperature electrical insulation applications. Qualified for use in electrical insulation systems up to Class 180(H) per UL 1446 and IEC Std. 60085; CSA Component Acceptance at 180°C. DMD180 flexible laminates are primarily designed for use in motor repair applications as slot cell, phase, and wedge insulation. DMD180 laminates are flexible, conformable materials with high tensile strength, excellent tear resistance, and low moisture absorption. The inorganic content offers high thermal conductivity, long-term voltage endurance, and resistance to partial discharge (corona) which helps DMD180 laminates withstand damage from voltage spikes; the polyester film reinforcement provides stiffness, high mechanical strength, and resistance to tear. DMD180 laminates are well-suited for automatic insertion applications, as well as heavy-duty winding applications.
