Unlike ordinary electrical tape, 3M electrical tapes are built to make long-lasting repairs on industrial cables. Each tape has fast-acting adhesion that forms an impermeable seal over tears in the insulation or cable jacket. Repairing Low-Voltage Insulation
Use a combination of 3M rubber electrical tape and 3M PVC electrical tape to repair damage on low voltage insulation. Rubber self-fuses into a tight seal over gaps in the insulation, protecting the core from moisture or chemicals. Wrap over the rubber with a premium-grade vinyl tape for additional insulation and abrasion resistance.
